Celebration at School
Children and teachers from the Polish school organized a reception to honor the visitors. We were very well received, the way only Polish people do, with a typical cake and salt: signs of welcome.
The Polish children opened the ceremony by singing the Ode to Joy. They also showed aspects of local folklore with a Polish folk dancing.
The visitors made presentations showing their countries, their schools and aspects of their culture.
Offers were made to the official bodies by one representative from each country.
The Bialystok governor addressed some kind words to all, stressing the importance of the project and encouraging its continuation.
Finally, the Polish children said farewell to the visitors waving flags of all participating countries.
