Carnival

In the EB1 of Vimieiro we celebrated Carnival with the theme "Edible Forest Gardens." Teachers and students joined the parade dressed as characters that are part of a story on Nature and gardens ...

The Scarecrow and Gardeners - treat gardens with great care. They frighten the birds, pull weeds, water, speak with plants for them to grow happy and finally harvest them with love.

The Old Lady and the Children of the World. The Old Lady teaches Children of the World to make delicious recipes with vegetables from the garden. She teaches them how to grow stronger and healthier.

The Fairy Gardens and the small heroes - The Fairy and the Small Heroes protect the gardens of all evil. They won't let anyone to do any harm to the gardens: break plants, throw garbage or pour poisonous products that could harm plants or humans.

The Fairy Garden is very pretty, beautiful and green as the Nature

The Gardeners have a decided and hardworking look. They will do anything
to maintain the gardens well-kept and beautiful.

Children of the World have a strong and healthy look thanks to the wise teachings of the Old Lady

Trees that we have near us 1

Finland
Once again the climate is critical to determine the growth of tree species that we see around us. The climate is temperate in southern Finland. In Northern Finland, particularly in the province of Lapland, dominates a subarctic climate, characterized by cold winters and occasionally severe and summers relatively tepid.
With 76% of its area covered by forests, Finland is the European country with the highest percentage of forest area in Europe.

Rowan - Pihlaja

Spruce - Kuusi

Pine - Mänty

Apple tree - Omenapuu

Cherry tree - Kirsikkapuu

Let's plant gardens in PORTUGAL

One aim of our project is to plant gardens. By planting gardens we will teach our students the plant growth cycle from sowing to harvesting, so they can understand how to produce vegetables, what is its relationship with the local environment and its importance to health.
The different climates of various countries will show us that the growth cycle of plants is different and that the species produced in each country are also different.

It's spring!!!! Let's plant flowers.
Nothing better than the spring flowers to give color and beauty to our gardens. Let's do it. Prepare a beautiful bed with a suitable soil and divide it with little stones... The result will be a beautiful carpet of flowers.
